^■LKSK YOLK OWN BABY. few hours. During the first -24: hours the baby should not nurse more than four or five times, but at both breasts each time. If it cries much it can have cool boiled water. Do not feed it tea, coffee, melons, candy, or any solid food. A new baby will thrive better if the intervals between feedings is fairly long. During the first two days three nursings a day and one at night are enough. From the third day to the fourth month, there should be seven nursings in the 24 hours, three hours apart, one of them being at night.
