Inishmurray, County Sligo, Ireland English: View of Trahanareear at the west-most area of the island, looking north. In the front on the right side is a small cairn. The remains were moved in 1997 and reconstructed at a location more distant to the cliffs where part of the cell had already been fallen into the sea. See pp. 172 in Jerry O'Sullivan and Tomás Ó Carragáin: Inishmurray: Monks and Pilgrims in an Atlantic Landscape, ISBN 978-1-905172-47-4. |
