  • Significance: A combination run-of-the-river and large-storage hydroelectric operation, the White River Hydroelectric Project, when completed in 1911, served as the controlling works in western Washington's largest hydroelectric system. It was designed and constructed by the Pacific Coast Power Company, a subsidiary of the Boston-based firm of Stone and Webster.
