Summary
[edit]DescriptionIt will never sail again - geograph.org.uk - 1765226.jpg |
English: It will never sail again From the path between the railway and the River Esk upstream of Whitby, at close to low tide. From the amount of mud in this boat, I assume it remains firmly stuck on the river bed when the tide comes in, and it is well beyond hope of restoration to a usable state. Tidal rivers always look pretty miserable with the tide out, but under a low overcast with drizzle, this whole scene seemed pretty depressing, with not only the boat in an advanced state of decay, but also the remains of the fence round what could never really have been a garden. |
