Description
Deutsch: Von der verlegten Straße EX-208 Plasenia–Trujillo, deren historische Führung über die Puente del Cardenal verlief. Seit dem Bau der Staumauer von Alcántra liegt die Puente del Cardenal bei Normalstau vollständig unter Wasser. Der Vollstau ist an der Vegetation erkennbar, er wird nur selten, jedoch regelmäßig genug, dass sich auf Dauer keine Pflanzen ansiedeln, erreicht. Die Brücke, die erstaunlicherweise nicht abgebrochen wurde, ist damit meist begehbar. Ihre Bauweise mit Bögen und Entlastungsöffnungen ist nur bei extremem Niedrigwasser vollständig sichtbar.
Unterstromseite, die Brüstungsmauern sind offenbar doch von der Strömung umgerissen worden.
