It was early seen thatone of the most frequent needs, not provided for by the employeehimself, and for which organized effort was apparently required, wasthat of making some provision for a rainy day and for old age. Months were consumed in 1910-11 in the perfecting of a planof Insurance; at once the broadest scheme of health, accident, oldage, and death benefit, that has ever been devised. On July 1st,1912, this was adopted, and although since modified, as experiencehas made necessary, it now provides protection for a large propor-tion of our employees in New York, Chicago, and Kansas City. Membership in this Insurance is of two kinds, Limited and In-surance.
