English: A Chinese numismatic charm depicting scenes from "Journey to the West".
Obverse: At the bottom left in the waters of the river is Sun Wukong, the Monkey King tied to a pillar. He was captured by the deity Er Lang with help of heavenly warriors and tied to the pillar to await reprisals. To the right is the goddess Kuan Yin. On the left are two saints from the retinue of the goddess. Reverse: A horse carrying the Buddhist sutras from which a holy light emanates. The Monk Xuanzang r, The Monkey King 1.
