Tahun 2019, sebuah kapal jenis padewakang berhasil direkonstruksi kembali dan dibawa berlayar ke Australia. Rekonstrusi kapal dan pelayaran dibiayai sebuah institut non-profit dari Australia. Kapal dibuat di Tana Beru, Bulukumba, Sulawesi Selatan, dengan model dibuat berdasarkan sketsa catatan Belanda dan Inggris, replika di museum dan foto-foto lama.
English: The Nur Al Marege ship is a reconstruction of the padewakang ship that sailed from Makassar to the north coast of Australia, 2019.
In 2019, a padewakang type ship was successfully reconstructed and transported to Australia. The ship and shipping reconstruction was funded by an Australian non-profit institute. The ship was built in Tana Beru, Bulukumba, South Sulawesi, with models based on Dutch and English sketches, replicas in museums and old photographs. |
