Description
English: Kenosua hoitaa nahkoja ja keittää eläinten kalloja Brickhousen lähellä.


Taiteilija Akseli Gallen-Kallelan perhe eli vuosina 1909-10 Brittiläisessä Itä-Afrikassa, nykyisessä Keniassa. "Brickhouse" oli perheen koti Nairobin ulkopuolella, jossa he asuivat n. kymmenen kuukautta, eli suurimman osan ajastaan Afrikassa. Gallen-Kallela perheineen kävi usein metsästysretkillä safarilla ja he ampuivat mm. seeproja, sarvikuonoja ja virtahepoja. Eläinten nahat kuivattiin auringossa ja kallot keitettiin, jotta niistä sai puhtaita.
