Description
English: Lt. Rodrigo Simoes, from Malvern, Pa., assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 138 at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, explains the function of an EA-18G Growler to a child during a tour of the hangar bay. The children are participating in the Kids Camp Deployment, a program sponsored by the Fleet and Family Support Center and the Child and Youth Program, which is designed to give military children a chance to experience what life is like when their parents go on a deployment. The children participated in a boot camp-like setting with demonstrations and tours from various commands.
