Svenska: GARNITYR. Bestående av ytterskål och fem innerskålar (en sjätte fattas). Klockformiga och vertikalt räfflade med vågig mynningskant. Dekor i famille verte "gröna familjen" med lekande barn, kinesiska mynt (tsien, symbol för rikedom) och kvistar med blommor och blad. Konturer i svart eller brunrött. Dekoren på skålarna utgör en symbolisk lyckönskningsteckning, kallad Fu-kuei i pin; så symboliserar t. ex pionen lycka och välstånd.Set of five porcelain cups and a stemcup decorated in overglaze enamelsQing dynasty, Kangxi period (1662-1722)The cups fit inside one another, and the stemcup was also probably part of a set. The decoration of a male child playing among branches of flowers has a long history. Designs of Buddhist angels among floral scrolls came from India along with Buddhism during the Tang dynasty. By the Song dynasty Chinese wishes for male progeny had altered the pattern to suit local demand. So these cups wish their owner a long lineage of sons, while the cash motif on the stem of the high-footed cup hopes for wealth.
