Description
English: King of Prussia pub (site of) Rotherhithe Street, London, SE16 This did not last too long and may have only been a beer house. Registered from 1767 until 1775 on the south side between Fulford Street and Braddon Street. Photographer standing at the junction with Fulford Street and the small stretch of road shown is the late Rotherhithe Street. Therefore, continue away from the camera and the pub would have been about 75 yards on the right. The grass bank is man made as up to the mid 1980's the area viewed was as "flat as a pancake". Two trees in the foreground can only be about 30 years old. Incidentally, the stretch of Rotherhithe Street from West Lane to Elephant Lane was the width as shown i.e. just over the width of 2.5 cars.
