Deutsch: Nordwestansicht der römisch-katholischen Pfarrkirche hl. Veit in der niederösterreichischen Stadt Krems an der Donau.
Die Kirche wurde von 1616 bis 1630 nach Plänen der Baumeister Cypriano Biasino und Johann Baptist Spazio gebaut und war einer der ersten Barockkirchen nördlich der Alpen. Die Sakralbau besteht aus einem Langhaus mit acht Seitenkapellen, einem Querschiff und einem etwas niedrigeren Chor mit Rundapsis. Die Grabplatten an den Außenmauern erinnern an den ehemaligen alten Friedhof rund um die Kirche. In den Neubeu wurde teilweise der Turm der mittelalterlichen Vorgängerkirche miteinbezogen. |
