Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Lady's Rock. The Sound of Mull is noted for its vicious rip tides at all times except at slack water. The Lady Rock is the site of two shipwrecks. On 27 Sept. 1889 the iron paddlesteamer "Mountaineer" lived up to her name and mounted the Ladys Rock. Again on 6 January 1905 the iron steamship "Clydesdale" crashed into the rock and stuck fast. There were no loss of life but both ships became total wrecks.
