| Description |
English: Langden Castle Many who wander this way in search of a castle may be sadly disappointed by what they find. Some say that this is where Sir Gawain met The Green Knight in the famous 14th. Century Middle English poem. The track by Langden Brook and the path up nearby Fiendsdale are on the route of a Mediaeval track which led from Whalley to Lancaster.The 'castle' was a well documented resting place on this route. |
