Notes
  • Significance: Leandro Martinez was the third son on Don Pascual Martinez whose house stood adjacent to this building. The Leandro Martinez house was built, according to his son Leandro Martinez, Jr., of Santa Fe, in 1862. The woodwork, doors, and portal were made by the owner himself. The portal posts are identical in their shape and chamfered corners to those of the Galeria Escondita in Taos, and both probably came from the Six Mile Creek Sawmill which had begun operation before 1860...
  • Survey number: HABS NM-64
  • Building/structure dates: 1862 Initial Construction
