English: Leeds Town Hall A very difficult building to picture effectively, because you can't get far enough away from it. The ideal position is probably the roof of one of the buildings across The Headrow.
An engraving of 1880 on the Leodis website shows a greater space in front of it but that was probably artistic licence. See http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?resourceIdentifier=2004115_63628787&DISPLAY=FULL A photograph from 1908 shows it decorated to celebrate the visit of the King and Queen http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?resourceIdentifier=2002624_25149172&DISPLAY=FULL (I suspect that was taken with an architectural camera, capable of correcting the distortions of perspective evident in my picture).
