Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Leicester Harmsworth House - Plymouth The building was opened as the premises of the Western Morning News Company on December 1st 1938. With some foresight it was designed to withstand possible bombing! Containing editorial and management offices with printing works to the rear it was severely tested during the blitz of 1941. The main building escaped unscathed though the printing works was destroyed.
The building is now a shopping centre, the works having moved out to a business park to the north of town. |
