William Lloyd Garrison accepts an invitation to attend an amateur musical performance at Mrs. Bush's home. If the weather is inclement, Garrison will not attend, as his health requires him "to avoid any unnecessary exposure."
Also with the same Call No. Ms.3409, there is an unrelated fragment that reads: "William Lloyd Garrison. Celebrated abolitionist. President of the American Anti-Slavery Society 1843-1865."
