English: Library, Christ Church, Oxford. View from Peckwater Quad. Completed in 1772, more baroque than the classical architecture of the rest of the quadrangle. The giant unfluted Corinthian columns and the contrast of white and buff stone are the most noticeable features of the facade. See also 187942.Taken on a hot summer day which was the last day of term, undergraduates had finished their exams. |
