English: This shoe factory was built in Saint Petersburg in 1914 and later changed its name to “Proletarian Victory.” It employed a large number of workers. In 1926, they began making women’s shoes. During the war, it was the only factory in the USSR making women’s and children’s shoes using glue. In 2006, the factory went bankrupt.

This book stamp is from a book looted by the Nazis and sorted by Colonel Seymour Pomrenze, one of “the Monuments Men,” at the Offenbach Archival Depot.
