| Description |
Deutsch: Nordostansicht des Otto-Kandler-Hauses auf dem Gipfel des 1195 m hohen Hohensteins. Die Hütte befinden sich auf dem Gemeindegebiet der niederösterreichischen Stadtgemeinde Lilienfeld und unmittelbar an der Gemeindegrenze von Kirchberg an der Pielach. Das Otto-Kandler-Haus wurde 1905 von der „Alpine Gesellschaft D‘ Ennsecker“ errichtet, nach einem verdienten Funktionär des Vereins benannt, und um 1925/30 um einen Anbau erweitert. 1955 erwarb die Sektion St. Pölten des Österreichischen Alpenvereins das Haus. Es ist von Mai bis Oktober an Wochenenden und Feiertagen bewirtschaftet. |
