English: London Is Still London- Everyday Life in Wartime London, England, February 1941 A wide view of Oxford Street showing Bourne and Hollingsworth Department Store on the right hand side. On the left of the photograph, a man waits for a bus at the Wardour Street bus stop, and vehicles, (including a bus and a taxi), and pedestrians go about their daily business. Crosses of tape can just be seen on the windows of the building behind the bus stop, to the left of the photograph. These would prevent the glass from shattering in an air raid. |

The image was catalogued by the IWM as created for the Ministry of Information, which was dissolved in 1946. Consequently the image and faithful reproductions are considered Crown Copyright, now expired as the photograph was taken prior to 1 June 1957. | |||
