| Description |
English: Low tide off Calshot Spit This is a view roughly southwards towards the Isle of Wight across the Solent, from the mouth of Southampton Water. The gravel beach in the foreground on the right lies to the east of Calshot Spit, and is only exposed during low spring tides. The 'waves' coming in from the left are the wash from passing boats. Cowes is just visible towards the right of the photo on the far side of the Solent. |
