Summary[edit]

Description
English: Maesteg Castle Street railway station (site), Bridgend
Opened in 1861 on the Llynvi & Ogmore Railway's line from Pyle to Cymmer, this station closed in 1970. In 1992, a new station was opened for Maesteg around 200m east of the old station. View west from the 1992 station, towards Nantyffyllon and Cymmer, from the same position as SS8591 : Maesteg Castle Street railway station (site), Bridgend, 1994. The whole site is now buried in vegetation, but the platform remains and footbridge are still in there!
