Malabadi Bridge crosses the Batman River, on the route from Diyarbakır to Batman. It was constructed on the order of Timurtaş, the leader of Artukoğulları in 1147-1148. Mostly built of yellow chalk, Malabadi Bridge has the largest stone bridge arch, measuring 38.6 m, in the world. In total it is 150 m long and 19 m high to its keystone. On both sides of the arch there are two rooms that were originally used for accommodation, especially in the winter. The bridge has been restored many times and although it is no longer in use it still exists as a monumental work of art.
