What's fascinating about this composition is that it starts out as a standard march but at the final strain (measure 76 onwards) it turns into a syncopated rag, as if to demonstrate how adding syncopation results in ragtime. Self-published by Wilfred G. Astle in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1905.
