Description
Svenska: MANSCHETTKNAPPAR (länk-), ett par, med etui Av pärlemor med orientaliska pärlor samt silver och guld. Vardera bestående av två delar; vardera delen av en rund knappliknande skiva av pärlemor, på vars framsida i mitten en skålig fördjupning, i denna en liten rund pärla, fäst på stift, däromkring tre koncentriska ringar; skivan omsluten av en slät ram av platina. På baksidan en flackstavig ögla av guld, fäst i en i baksidan infälld liten kupig skiva. Mellan delarna en avlång länk av en omböjd platt skena med ändarna snett hopspetsade, så att länken kan skiljas från öglan i delarna. På öglorna finhetsstämpel (på ena ögleparet upprepad) Antagligen danskt arbete från 1900-talets början. Etui (original): Av trä, rektangulärt, med svagt kupigt fällock samt klätt med mörkrött pressat skinn; på locket i guldtryck ovanpå kring kanten en bård av S-formade bladornament, kring ytterkanten en smal rand; foder av vit sammet och vitt siden (atlas). På främre änden tryckknäppe av mässing med överklädd tryckknopp. H 2,8 L 6,7 B 4,9 cm. Gåva till Walther von Hallwyl, julaftonen 1914, från hans dotter och svärson Irma och Wilhelm von Geijer. Inköpta av de sistnämnda hos Aktiebolaget David Andersen & Comp., Stockholm.
