Deutsch: Zentrum von Maria Schutz mit der Kloster- und Wallfahrtskirche Maria Schutz in der niederösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Schottwien und links das Klostergebäude.
Die Wallfahrtskirche am Nordhang des Sonnwendsteines ließ Reichsgraf Leopold von Wallsegg, Besitzer der Burg Klamm, als Ersatz einer Kapelle errichten. Die Grundsteinlegung fand 1727 statt und 1738 wurde die Kirche geweiht. Gleichzeitig wurde auch das angrenzende Priesterhaus errichtet. 1925 wurde dieses dem Passionistenorden übergeben und zu einem Kloster adaptiert. Die bemerkenswerte barocke Einrichtung aus marmoriertem Holz stammt weitgehend aus der Bauzeit. Die Gnadenbildfigur „Unsere Liebe Frau von Maria Schutz“ im Zentrum des Hochaltars stammt aus der Zeit um 1410. English: Center of Maria Schutz in Lower Austria. |
