1947-1950 :

Bien que l'attention se concentre sur le Tonkin et la Cochinchine, une intense activité de guérilla est organisée par les forces de la VNDCCH pour prendre le contrôle de l'Annam où la présence française est sporadique. Les tribus Moïs (groupées dans les P.M.S.I.) se soulèvent contre le Viêt-Minh et demandent la protection française. Des unités militaires françaises sont envoyées à Pleiku.

L'annexe du B.P.M. A du BPM 405 est dépêchée à Pleiku le 21 mars 1947 pour assister les troupes françaises. Elle utilise d'abord l'ancien cachet « POSTE AUX ARMEES / 405A» (405A en bas) puis un cachet « POSTE AUX ARMEES 405 A». Elle utilise une griffe "SECTEUR 405-A" comme griffe de recommandation provisoire. Elle sera dissoute le 30 avril 1951 et remplacée par le BPM 413.

Dans cette période troublée, le bureau militaire prend du courrier civil, affranchi en timbres de métropole.
