[edit]DescriptionMedical teams tend to rescued mariners (13016717243).jpg | AEGEAN SEA (March 8, 2014) Sailors in the medical department of the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) assess a Turkish mariners recovered by a Bataan Search and Rescue swimmer. Bataan responded to a Hellenic Coast Guard request for assistance to the grounded Turkish Flagged container vessel, Yusuf Cepnioglu. The Bataan Amphibious Readiness Group is on a scheduled deployment supporting maritime security operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
