| Description |
English: Middle Lock No 18 at Fradley, Staffordshire. This is the second of a flight of five at Fradley which, together, drop the water level by 35ft 8in (just under 11 metres), so the middle one is actually the next one, beyond the buildings on the distant left of the picture.
The narrowboat moving away past the blue and yellow one has just left the lock, and there is one hidden by the towpath just below the dogs, waiting to come in, so the gates have not been closed. This lock has a water drop of 7ft 6in (2.3 metres). |
