English: Minard Farm The spread of Minard Farm clearly seen in a small hollow in the landscape. A sheltered spot does well against the brunt of the winter South-Westerlies - coming straight in off the Atlantic. This is instead of bearing the full force of the storms by having all buildings perched on a hill. Plus you'll usually find water more readily nearer the bottom of a hill! |
