Description
Nederlands: VEEN – Maandag 1 oktober heeft minister Arie Slob van onderwijs de bedrijfsschool van Tibo Veen geopend. Tibo Veen wil met de bedrijfsschool het techniekonderwijs in de regio op de kaart zetten. Het is een samenwerking met scholen uit de regio, waarbij ook docenten van deze scholen lesgeven op de bedrijfsschool.

Nadat de minister als openingshandeling de stekker in het stopcontact had gestoken, traden de installaties in de bedrijfsschool in werking. De leerlingen van het Willem van Oranje College en het Da Vinci College hebben zelf de laatste hand gelegd aan de bedrijfsschool voordat deze vandaag geopend werd. In de school zijn diverse ruimtes, zogenoemde boxen, waar een diversiteit aan installaties nagebootst worden. De techniek staat nooit stil en daarom is er genoeg ruimte voor nieuwe technieken binnen de bedrijfsschool. Omdat in 2050 alle Nederlandse huishoudens energieneutraal moeten zijn, is er veel aandacht voor de techniek die daarbij hoort, zoals warmtepompen en zonnepanelen.

Ook leerlingen van groep 7 en 8 van bassischool de Hoeksteen maken gebruik van de bedrijfsschool. Door de verduurzaming is er steeds meer personeel nodig in de technische sector en door het op jonge leeftijd onder de aandacht te brengen kan het enthousiasme hiervoor groeien.
