Mason. She has much to tell ofher experiences and of the success that hasattended her labors with those who havelost their eyesight in battle. The work that M!ss Holt started inFrance was the natural outgrowth of whatshe had made her lifework in this country.She was the founder of the Lighthousein New York which educates men andwomen to be useful and valuable membersof society even after they have been de-prived of their sight. Its fundamental Ideais not to provide institutions for the blind.but rather to teach them to continue theirability to earn their own living and
