The independent spirit whichseeks to control anl support its ownchurches and its own religious work isto be commended. But the whites herehave much the same feeling towards theblacks as is found in our own SouthernStates. It is the opinion of those whohave given the most careful study tothis important question that ultimately al and intellectual training, so that thepeople may reach the highest possiblereligious and moral development.Should we decide to open a mission hereit would seem that provision should bemade for religious, mental and industri-al work at the same time.
