| Description |
English: Moorland near Stowerhill Interposed between Wark and Spadeadam Forests is an extensive area of very wet grassy moorland in the basin of the upper river Irthing. A number of tracks (probably made by quad bikes) cross the moors. A number of wooden plank bridges such as can be seen in foreground cross the sikes. The double planks suggest that they are used by quads, but negotiating them must be a very tricky operation. Stowerhill Plantation on the skyline. |
