| Description |
English: Muckross Head Kilcar Donegal Stormy Day. This view is south west. Taken from the road overlooking Tra loar this is Muckross head and its typical profile. Climbers regularly come to climb its rocky faces. It is black shaley limestone capped by sandstone. Very little is left of the promontory fort. The views of Carrigen Head and Slieve League are spectacular from the top of this headland. On this day, squalls were rolling in from the Atlantic every ten minutes. |
