A circular from the East Northneld Conference states: If we are to face the world task which clearly and unmistakably confronts us,we must have adequate knowledge of the situation as it now exists. From these studygroups should go out thousands of students who, with a new intelligence, a new vigor,and a new zeal, will give themselves for the evangelization of the whole world inour time. The Council at Western consists of the Y. W. C. A. Cabinet, the officers of theCentral Board, and the presidents and vice-presidents of the four classes. The reception took the form of a circus and was heldin the gymnasium. Large families of Freshmen children conducted by upperclassparents assembled as the big band played. The parade was led by the largest babyin captivity. Monkeys, trained dogs, a lion, acrobats, bareback riders, clowns, and afat lady were the other attractions.
