English: Tank AMX-30 with 105 mm cannon. In May 1970 the Spanish Army purchased 19 units of this French car to use in Sahara with a dessert scheme. Since 1974, 280 tanks were built in Spain under license being called AMX-30E. In 1988 began a process of modernization of 149 tanks to AMX-30ER1 version. It was the backbone of the Spanish Cavalry. In the early 1990s began to be replaced by M-60 tanks, and from 1994 began its final replacement by German Leopard II tanks and Italian armored vehicles B-1 Centauro for cavalry units. In the museum of El Goloso retains three of these tanks, one initial batch purchased from France (you can still see remnants of the original desert painting in his armor).
