| Description |
English: Mysterious terrace This may be an old linear quarry following along a seam of good stone, possibly for roof tiles. For normal building stone a small delve would be made close to the building site. There are many places on the east face of this ridge where quarrying for sandstone took place long ago. At this point an old track in a worn groove slants up to the top of the ridge. In summer it is hard to find the way through the tall bracken. |
