Description
Deutsch: Die Ostrach mit der sogenannten Schlucht „Eisenbreche“ zählt zu den letzten frei fließenden und unverbauten Gewässerabschnitten in Bayern. Die naturbelassene, 85 Meter tiefe Klamm ist als Naturdenkmal bzw. Geotop ausgewiesen und durch ein Naturschutzgebiet, ein Landschaftsschutzgebiet und ein europäisches Natura-2000-Schutzgebiet gleich mehrfach geschützt. Trotzdem soll dort eine gewaltige Staumauer gebaut, der Fluss aufgestaut und sein Wasser durch eine Rohrleitung ausgeleitet werden. Neben der außerordentlichen Verschandelung der Landschaft würden viele an den Wildfluss angepasste Tierarten ihren Lebensraum verlieren.
