OKINAWA, Japan (April 24, 2015) Builder 3rd Class Chelsey Peralesmanoa, a Seabee assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, runs to set up security for her squad while waiting for them to navigate obstacles in the muddy water at the Jungle Warfare Training Center’s “pit and pond.” More than 60 Seabees from NMCB 5 attended the week long course taught by Marine instructors. The course is designed to prepare Marines and joint forces for the rigors of combat in a dense jungle environment. NMCB 5 is currently deployed to Japan and several countries in the Pacific area of operations conducting construction operations and humanitarian assistance projects.
