Summary[edit]

Description Built by the Dubigeon Shipyards of France, the Barracuda was one of four Albacore (Daphné) class submarines that formed fourth generation submarine fleet of Portugal. It was commissioned in 1968 and decommissioned in 2010. It is now displayed at the Maritime Museum dock in Cacilhas, offering an opportunity to reflect on the widespread linkages between military equipment procurement and political corruption.
