Note : Jusqu'en décembre 1946, les postes de la VNDCCH étaient accessibles aux collectionneurs français du Tonkin et du Nord-Annam. Des timbres à forte valeur faciale (y compris la surtaxe) avaient pour but principal d'obtenir des fonds des collectionneurs français. Les Vietnamiens étaient trop pauvres dans leur ensemble pour payer de telles sommes.
