Description
Deutsch: Minneburg bei Neckargerach (Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis): Am Ostende des Palas ist ein markanter Erker mit schön gearbeiteten Fenstern erhalten. Das Bild zeigt die Bogenfenster im oberen erhaltenen Stockwerk des Erkers sowie den Blick auf das Neckartal.

Auf den möglichen Einwand hin, dass dieses Foto ja gar nicht die Burg selbst zeige, sondern vor allem die Aussicht von ihr, darf ich daran erinnern, dass die Aufnahme genau jene Sicht zeigt, welche die Burgherren einst von ihrem Erker auf das Neckartal hatten. Und dieser Blick war kein Zufall und auch kein Zeitvertreib, vielmehr dürfte die Lage der Burg hoch über dem Neckar mit einer weiten Aussicht auf das Flusstal erheblich zum strategischen Wert der Burg beigetragen haben und ggf. eine Kontrolle der Schifffart und des Handels erlaubt haben. Daher gehört auch eine Aufnahme wie diese mMn zur Dokumentation der Burg.

Die Aufnahme wurde an einem Herbstabend bei Sonnenuntergang gemacht, dies erklärt die Dunkelheit des Innenraumes und die dunkel leuchtenden Herbstfarben draußen.
