Summary

[edit]
Description
English: New Road The modern day B2112 was constructed as a turnpike in 1830 to link Ditchling with other quicker turnpike routes that travelled towards Brighton. The road effectively bypassed the old Ditchling Beacon road turning it into a minor route. Its straightness means traffic can be quite busy and fast though thankfully not at 6.30 on a Sunday morning as there are no verges to walk on. The road is also catching the first rays of sun of the day.
