Nederlands: Alle 35 raadsleden zijn ingezworen en daarmee is de nieuwe gemeenteraad geïnstalleerd. Vijftien zetels worden ingenomen door frisse fractieleden, de rest bestaat uit oudgedienden.
Burgemeester Arjen Gerritsen wees op voorhand in een toespraak alle leden op het feit dat ze zich net als iedereen aan de wet moeten houden. Hij waarschuwde hun ook. "Er zijn personen en organisaties die het openbaar bestuur onheus willen beïnvloeden, zij liggen meer en meer op de loer. Met verleiding en soms ook met bedreiging." |
