Southern Hemisphere only, eastern sky : this early morning it was a rare opportunity to watch four worlds—Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter—in the closest planetary grouping yet seen this century. (see notes on the photo) This rare event is happening when these four planets align together in a row.
