Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Norman West Door - St. Germanus, near to St Germans, Cornwall, Great Britain. The numerous concentric arches decorated with dogtooth patterns are typical of the Romanesque architecture of the Normans. This has to be one of the finest surviving Norman doorways in the country I would have thought. The three windows visible above the door also exhibit typical Norman arches - which as can be seen were semicircular as opposed to the later pointed arches of the great Gothic architectural periods.
